Here at Coben the welfare of our candidates is paramount to what we do. Recently we have had many discussions with people who are quite rightly, concerned about the risks when going to work on the front line.
So we wanted to share something with you that we thought might help.
We are here if you have any questions or just want to talk. Many of our amazing candidates have also offered to speak with anyone who has any concerns about working with a client or a COVID related setting. Our volunteers will be happy to speak with you and answer any question you may have.
Below is some feedback from a few our lovely candidates, who are working in ‘Hot Hubs’ and COVID related settings.
My normal working environment is usually as a full time locum Practice Nurse and has been with Coben for the last two years plus, but recently I answered to call to support a Salford trust to help with the Covid-19 pandemic. I just felt that I could do more to help the cause than I was doing sat at my desk, although also a very important role is was not enough for me in these unprecedented trying times. Working within the Covid testing pods has given me an opportunity to part of the fight against this disease, providing tests for people who are worried about themselves, their families and their patients/residents too.
The top management are very hands on and visible, supporting your role as much as they can, ever evolving to improve the service and personal safety on a daily basis, as your personal health and safety with PPE etc. is paramount to the management and is made available in high numbers.I enjoy being part of this team of Covid testers, there is good moral and humour at is best! I feel well valued and supported which as a locum you do not always experience.
As I mentioned earlier I been a full time locum with Coben for nearly two and a half years and can honestly say that I have never had to be registered with any other agency to ensure continuous shifts/contracts are in place and confirmed. Yes there have been the odd times when clients have made mistakes and not been the best, but I have also felt that Vicky, my designated consultant and the rest of the team at Coben has my back and my best interests and well-being at heart.
Tracey – Practice Nurse
Hi my name is Sara and I’m a HCA working at the swabbing centre in Salford. I just want to say how proud i am to be part of this team and the work we are all doing. We have full PPE equipment and the support we are given is 100%. I have never been made to feel that I am in a vulnerable position and the agency and the other staff on site are so supportive.
Whilst I have been at Coben I have enjoyed my experience the staff are very supportive and will assist you with any issues you may have.
I’m proud to be part of this team
