Mark Sephton is an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with considerable experience in Walk-In Centres, Ambulatory Care Units, General Practice, Acute Visiting Service, General Practitioner Out of Hours and Urgent Care Centres. He has held a continuous post of Advanced Nurse Practitioner since 2014 in an acute primary care setting and furthermore, provides locum cover cross across a variety of primary care organisations. Mark is experienced expert witness, having prepared over 30 reports for Defendants and Claimants. Mark is also experienced medical advisor for the pharmaceutical industry.
Mark holds a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice and non-medical prescribing qualification. He has published a number of articles within the nursing literature surrounding nursing regulation, patient care and primary research. He is in the latter stages of completing his Doctoral Studies in Health & Social Care. His role as visiting lecturer within the health and social care faculty at the University of Chester involves teaching qualitative data analysis. Mark has previously been a mentor for postgraduate students undertaking a degree module on minor illness that is affiliated with Liverpool John Moore’s University.
Mark has two boys and when he is not working or studying, he can be found on spin bike or watching snooker. Mark is also an active member of the Round Table, raising money through organising a beer festival, a bonfire and firework display or towing a Santa float around the streets.
Marks role within Coben is to advise and support in all areas of Nursing from assisting with open nights and training, to offering support and help on all matters to our Nurses. Mark is also able to work with any Nurses who wish to go through the RCN credentialing process.
